South Lake Tahoe Weekend Getaway

Andy surprised me with a weekend getaway to his cousin's vacation house in South Lake Tahoe. We've been together for almost 9 years and this is the first time I have felt like we are actually growing up and being adult..it is a weird feeling.

I am typically the planner of our relationship, but I let him plan this whole weekend. On the second day, he took me on a "non-strenuous" hike to Chimney Beach. He told me that there was a cool history with Chimney Beach. According to him, there was a house that used to be on the beach, but over time, they had to take it down but they decided to leave the chimney up.

It was truly a view. Seeing the chimney made me think that the life we live right now will always be there, but things are always changing and one day, the things we care about or believe will always be around will be gone.

The wind that day was intrusive. Things were flying in my eyes and I felt like I was about to be blown away. Even though there was no snow, I would definitely recommend wearing lots of layers and your winter gear. I was lucky to have thought to bring my snowboarding gloves to protect my hands!
